Client: Getinge/Castle, Inc., based in Rochester, N.Y., is the leading maker of sterilization, disinfection, and surgical products.
Challenge: Enable salespeople to configure products, as well as generate proposals and quotes themselves instead of submitting requests to a central office, which lead to costly delays and high administrative overhead.
TASK Strategy: Evaluate requirements through interviews with salespeople and thoroughly review internal administrative operations. Select proper software to accomplish goals. Identify opportunity to increase cross selling of products by associating them with other items and service offerings.
Results: Quotes and proposals are more accurate and ready in less than one-fourth of the time previously required. Also, productivity rose 15 percent in the first two months of the system’s operations.
